Во Львове в небо на вертолете Ми-8 был поднят самый большой государственный флаг Украины в честь празднования Дня национального флага.
Знамя в небо подняли военные летчики 7-го отдельного полка армейской авиации. Флаг доставили в город из Крыма, на аэродром полка в Новом Калинове. Идея подобной акции принадлежит председателю Львовской облгосадминистрации Виктору Шемчуку.

 

Примечательно, что достижение зафиксировали представители Книги рекордов Украины, его внесли в категорию Размеры как самый большой стяг. Флага достиг 21,6 м в длину, в ширину - 14,4 м, общая площадь - 311 кв м. Прошлый рекорд принадлежал представителям Евпатории и был установлен в 2008 году.

 

Сегодня, 23 августа, все жители Украины отмечают ежегодный День национального Флага, который предшествует празднованию Дня Независимости государства.
