Конституційний суд Молдови 3 жовтня дозволив брати участь у місцевих виборах, що пройдуть у листопаді, колишнім членам проросійської партії «Шор», яка раніше цього року вердиктом цього ж суду була визнана неконституційною і відтоді вважалася розформованою.

Таке рішення суд ухвалив після скарги низки членів партії «Шор», яку очолює бізнесмен Ілан Шор, що проживає у вигнанні.

У червні Конституційний суд на тлі намагань Молдови зменшити вплив Росії заборонив лідерам цієї партії балотуватися на виборах упродовж п’яти років. Із відповідним позовом тоді звернувся уряд Молдови. Нинішня влада Молдови і західні політики звинувачують «Шор» у спробах дестабілізувати ситуацію в країні. Представники самої «Шор» називали звинувачення політично вмотивованими.

3 жовтня рішення було ухвалене голосуванням трьох суддів. Двоє інших заявили, що висловлять окремі думки. «Суд встановив, що оспорювана заборона не була заснована на об’єктивних критеріях, була загальною і не враховувала індивідуальні обставини», – пояснив після винесення рішення суддя Сергій Цуркан, якого цитує молдовська служба Радіо Свобода. Цуркан додав, що коли суд визнав партію «Шор» неконституційною, він не пропонував накладати обмеження на її членів.
