У Великій Британії 92-річна Маргарет Сіман створила в'язану копію Сандрінгемського палацу, який належить королеві Єлизаветі II.

Маргарет Сіман з англійського міста Грейт-Ярмут трудилася над копією палацу два роки. Вона розповіла, що в’язання займало 10-12 годин на день.
Робота вийшла 5,5 метрів в довжину і 1,8 метра в ширину. Вперше остаточну версію в’язаного палацу Сіман показала на Фестивалі майстрів Норфолка, який зараз проходить у будівлі Форуму в Норвічі.
“Після того, як я втратила чоловіка, я приєдналася до групи в’язання, і все закрутилося, як снігова куля. […] Потім я подумала, що могла б вигадати щось і показати людям, щоб зібрати гроші на благодійність”, – розповіла жінка.
Гроші від квитків на Фестиваль майстрів будуть спрямовані на підтримку трьох лікарень графства Норфолк.
