63,97% избирателей Крыма проголосовали на референдуме о статусе региона, по данным на 15.00.

Об этом сообщил журналистам председатель республиканской комиссии по проведению референдума Михаил Малышев, пишет УНИАН.

В абсолютных цифрах это чуть более 970 тыс. человек, отметил он.

Как сообщал "Обозреватель", в воскресенье, 16 марта, в 8:00 по киевскому времени в Крыму начался неконституционный и непризнанный миром референдум о самоопределении, проводимый при военной и политической поддержке Российской Федерации.

В Украине 22 февраля произошла смена власти. Верховная Рада отстранила Президента Виктора Януковича от власти, изменила Конституцию, возложила исполнение обязанностей Президента на спикера Александра Турчинова и назначила президентские выборы на 25 мая.

Крым не признал легитимность новой власти.

Председатель совета министров Крыма Сергей Аксенов обратился к Президенту России Владимиру Путину с просьбой об "оказании содействия в обеспечении мира и спокойствия на территории Автономной Республики Крым". 

Совет Федерации РФ 1 марта единогласно проголосовал за то, чтобы дать Путину согласие на использование российских вооруженных сил в Украине "до нормализации общественно-политической обстановки в стране".
