Американская корпорация Microsoft рассматривает возможность приобретения сервиса микроблогов Twitter Inc., сообщает телеканал CNBC со ссылкой на источники, знакомые с ситуацией, передает Прайм.

Ранее СМИ сообщали, что Twitter ведет переговоры о своей покупке с рядом заинтересованных компаний. Среди потенциальных покупателей назывались такие технологические гиганты как Google и Salesforce.com, а также один из мировых гигантов индустрии развлечений Walt Disney Co. Стоимость сделки по покупке Twitter может превысить 16 миллиардов долларов.

CNBC со ссылкой на источники также отмечает, что официально о сделке могут объявить в течение следующих 30-45 дней.
