Один з листів, ймовірно, містить заявку на оформлення допуску до секретної інформації, повідомляє ВВС

У газеті New York Post юного хакера назвали "школярем-наркоманом", який незадоволений зовнішньою політикою США.

У його акаунті в Twitter, як стверджується у ЗМІ, можна знайти список контактів Бреннана, телефонні номери та номер страховки.

У тих матеріалах, що розмістив у себе відомий викриттями ресурс, немає державних секретів.

Тим не менш, якщо справжність електронних листів підтвердиться, це може стати основою нового скандалу за участю спецслужб.

Питання використання американськими політиками особистих поштових адрес останнім часом стоїть особливо гостро, після того як з'ясувалося, що колишній держсекретар США і потенційний кандидат у президенти Хілларі Клінтон використовувала особистий поштовий сервер для службового листування на посаді керівника зовнішньополітичного відомства.
