Один з перехожих подзвонив у службу 911, повідомляє SBS. На місце події виїхала штурмова група SWAT. Коли правоохоронці прибули, чоловік сидів у своєму авто біля офісу Kiss 108, пив пиво й нюхав невідому речовину із паперового пакета. Поліції знадобилося три години, аби приборкати чоловіка з сокирою. Під час затримання ніхто не постраждав.
Поліція відмовилася назвати ім’я затриманого, але повідомила, що він обов’язково пройде психіатричну оцінку.
Нещодавно американським правоохоронцям вдалося перешкодити випадку домашнього насильства завдяки «розумній» колонці. Пристрій подзвонив у поліцію, почувши звуки сварки, під час якої декілька разві прозвучала фраза «Ти дзвонила копам?» Гаджет розцінив ці слова як команду й набрав 911.
