Как сообщила пресс-служба Белого дома, в ходе встречи, проходящей 16 октября, президенты США и Италии отметят прочные исторические связи между Соединенными Штатами и Италией, позволяющие развивать нынешние союзнические отношения.

Италия, подчеркивается в пресс-релизе администрации США, является важным союзником США по НАТО и ключевым игроком в деле «обеспечения стабильности в Средиземноморском регионе».

Президенты Трамп и Маттарелла обсуждают пути дальнейшего развития двухсторонних отношений, проблемы международной безопасности и глобальной экономики.
