Депутат от фракции «Слуга народа» Николай Тищенко, известный скандалом с работой своего ресторана «Велюр» во время карантина, заявил, что выиграет на выборах мэра Киева, если его кандидатуру поддержит Зеленский. Об этом он заявил в эфире телеканала «Украина24».

«Я не слежу за теми людьми, которые выставляют свои кандидатуры на пост мэра Киева. Я скажу так: я не просто иду на выборы мэра, если Владимир Александрович доверит мне почетное право представлять интересны нашей команды в моем родном городе, я выиграю выборы», — заявил Тищенко.

На вопрос журналиста о том, поддерживает ли Тищенко глава Офиса президента Андрей Ермак, тот ответил, что в команде «Слуги народа» — «демократические отношения» и бывают «большие дискуссии».

Ранее сообщалось, что группа из 131 депутата фракции «Слуги народа» в Верховной Раде обратилась к Владимиру Зеленскому с просьбой провести праймериз перед местными выборами. Все они подписали соответствующие обращение к президенту. 

Позже президент Владимир Зеленский рассказал, что на выборах мэра Киева, которые должны пройти в октябре этого года, будет поддерживать кандидата от «Слуги народа». Зеленский не назвал конкретного имени и сказал, что проголосует за того кандидата, который окажется самым достойным. Кандидата должны будут определить на праймериз, которые, по словам президента, будут открытыми не только для членов «Слуги народа».
