Очільник місії США в ОБСЄ Джеймс Гілмор заявив, що вибори в окремих районах Донецької та Луганської областей можуть відбутися лише після виведення з території російських збройних формувань.

Повідомляє "Укрінформ"

"США закликають до відновлення контролю Україною над своїм міжнародним кордоном з Росією. Вільні та чесні вибори мають відбуватися під українським контролем та в безпечному середовищі, з виведенням з території України очолюваних Росією сил та незаконних збройних формувань."

Гілмор підкреслив, що спостерігачі Спеціальної моніторингової місії ОБСЄ фіксують "необмежений потік вагонів, вантажних автомобілів та військових машин, які на щоденній основі прибувають з Росії на територію, що контролюється Росією на сході України".

 Посол закликав Росію дотримуватись Мінських угод та "відповісти взаємністю на добросовісність, проявлену адміністрацією президента Зеленського".
