Ведуча американського телеканалу CNN Кейт Болдуін ледь не заплакала під час прямого ефіру випуску новин, розповідаючи про 5-річного сирійського хлопчика Омрана Дакніша.
 

Хлопчик вижив після бомбардування і був перенесений в машину швидкої допомоги. Кейт Болдуін зазначила, що в багатьох місцях світу 5-річні діти скоро вперше підуть до школи, в той час як цей хлопчик просто намагається залишитися в живих, пише Media Sapiens

Після цього вона зупинилася, зробила глибокий вдих, подивилася на телесуфлер і продовжила розповідати історію про Омрана: «Ми не знаємо, хто стоїть за цим авіаударом. Він і його сім'я були витягнуті живими, але від будинку залишилися одні руїни», - розповіла журналістка.

Потім телеведуча зробила ще одну паузу і закінчила репортаж словами: «Це Омран. Він живий. Ми просто хочемо, щоб ви знали про це».
