По решению суда в Турции был заблокирован доступ к Twitter и YouTube, сообщает Сегодня

Турция уже блокировала Twitter и YouTube в преддверии местных выборов в марте 2014 года. Это произошло после публикации аудиозаписей, якобы доказывающих факты коррупции в ближайшем окружении тогдашнего премьер-министра Тайипа Эрдогана. Это решение вызвало возмущение и подверглось критике со стороны международной общественности.

Несколько турецких газет сообщили, что нынешняя блокировка произошла после публикации фотографии стамбульского прокурора под дулом пистолета.

В конце марта турецкие радикалы захватили и убили стамбульского прокурора Селима Киреза.
