Социальную сеть Facebook в США раскритиковали после сообщений о том, что она якобы старательно отфильтровывает информацию консервативных СМИ в пользу либеральных. Об этом сообщает The New York Times, передает РБК

В частности, ссылаясь на бывших сотрудников Facebook, курировавших новости, сообщается, что администрация соцсети регулярно ограничивает распространение новостей, которые представляют интерес для приверженцев консерватизма.

"Вызывает крайнее беспокойство информация, что такая сила используется для того, чтобы замалчивать точку зрения и материалы, не соответствующие чьей-то повестке дня", - заявили в Национальном комитете Республиканской партии США.

Как сообщается, в то же время "новости в пользу либерального лагеря искусственно продвигались, даже если они не были  достаточно популярны".

Отметим, что в США "либеральными" называют издания приверженцев Демократической партии, в отличие от сторонников традиционного капитализма республиканцев.

В свою очередь пресс-секретарь Facebook заявила, что компания "воспринимает обвинения в предвзятости очень серьезно".

"Facebook является платформой для людей и взглядов всех областей политического спектра", - резюмировали в компании.
