Cооснователь и глава принадлежащей Facebook социальной сети Instagram Кевин Систром (Kevin Systrom) рассказал, что обсуждал с коллегами возможность создания версии сервиса для взрослых, сообщает Лента.ру со ссилкой на портал Mashable.

 
Размещенные в такой социальной сети изображения имели бы, по его словам, рейтинг R. Согласно принятой в США системе рейтингов для кинопродукции, в эту категорию попадают произведения, которые лица моложе 17 лет могут смотреть только в сопровождении взрослых.

Систром отметил, что во время обсуждений проекта трудности начинались на этапе принятия решения о том, кто и как будет определять, относится ли фото к категории R. Он добавил, что для Instagram главное — не создавать ресурсы для размещения порнографии, а давать людям возможность красиво самовыражаться.

Глава фотосервиса также объяснил, почему в Instagram запрещено публиковать изображения женских сосков без цензуры. По его словам, причина — строгие правила App Store, а доступные в магазине Apple приложения могут содержать изображения обнаженных тел только в том случае, если этому ПО присвоен рейтинг «17+». У Instagram рейтинг — «12+», поскольку компания не хочет закрывать доступ в социальную сеть подросткам.
