Генеральная прокуратура Германии начала расследование в отношении журналистов немецкого онлайн-издания netzpolitik.org по подозрению в разглашении государственной тайны.

Немецкие правоохранительные органы намерены проверить законность публикации выдержек из документов Федерального ведомства по охране конституции, которое ранее заявило, что опубликованные 25 февраля и 15 апреля статьи на netzpolitik.org основаны на материалах, полученных в результате утечки засекреченных документов, пишет ВВС

Публикации, которые заинтересовали генпрокуратуру, посвящены планам властей расширить слежку со стороны контрразведки за интернет-пользователями.

Шеф-редактор netzpolitik.org Маркус Бекедаль назвал расследование "явной попыткой запугивания" не только журналистов издания, но также источников информации в политических кругах страны. Ряд журналистов также назвали действия немецких властей "нападками на свободу прессы".

Как отмечает пресса Германии, журналистов в разглашении гостайны в стране не обвиняли уже более 50 лет. Последний раз подобное обвинение было предъявлено в 1962 году сотрудникам журнала Spiegel, которые опубликовали материал о военных учениях. Статья явно была направлена против Йозефа Штрауса, занимавшего тогда пост министра обороны. Никто из сотрудников издания виновным признан не был, а Штраус был вынужден подать в отставку.
