В Австралії виростили найважчу лохину в історії спостережень. Її вага — 20,4 г, а діаметр — 39,31 мм. Вона завбільшки, як мʼячик для гри в настільний теніс, але значно важча.

Ягода-рекордсмен приблизно в 10 разів перевищує середню вагу лохини — зазвичай один плід важить від 1 до 3,5 г.

Сорт ягоди називається Eterna. Плоди цього сорту лохини завжди виростають смачними й великого розміру, а ще мають хрустку шкірку. Конкретно цю ягоду-рекордсменку зібрали в листопаді 2023 року в Новому Південному Уельсі, її виростила садівнича компанія Costa Group.

За словами Costa Group, цей плід не є аномалією для сорту Eterna — під час збору врожаю було близько 20 ягід лохини схожого розміру. Попередня найважча лохина важила 16,2 г — її виростили в Західній Австралії у 2020 році.
