Команда ДСНС України встановила чотири світові рекорди та виборола 12 нагород на чемпіонаті світу Firefighter Challenge, що проходив у США. Українські вогнеборці десять разів здобували "золото" та два рази — "срібло" у різних дисциплінах. Про це повідомляє пресслужба відомства.
Так, за підсумками п'ятого дня змагань у загальнокомандних індивідуальних забігах, жіноча збірна України посіла перше місце у загальнокомандних індивідуальних забігах, а наші чоловіки стали другими. Крім того, боєць столичного ДСНС Олександр Баран став чемпіоном світу у чоловічій категорії 40-44 років.

У фінальний шостий день змагань одразу сім призових місць посіли київські рятувальники. Дві нагороди вони здобули у тандемних забігах, а ще п'ять — в естафетах.

У тандемних забігах:
- Перше місце — тандем Олександр Баран (Україна) та МакКензі Бріґс (США) у чоловічій категорії 40-44 років, встановивши світовий рекорд;
- Друге місце — тандем Ілля Голубев та Максим Березнюк (обидва з України) у чоловічій категорії до 40 років.
В естафетних забігах:
- Перше місце — національна чоловіча естафетна команда України (Олександр Баран, Роман Сильчук, Ігор Поліщук, Ілля Голубев, Максим Березнюк) у чоловічій категорії пожежних підрозділів до 40 років, встановивши рекорд світу;
- Перше місце — Олександр Баран у складі міжнародної естафетної команди The Wolf Pack у змішаній категорії, встановивши рекорд світу;
- Перше місце — національна естафетна команда України (Олександр Баран, Роман Сильчук, Ігор Поліщук, Марія Лебединська, Оксана Чехместренко) у змішаній категорії пожежних підрозділів до 40 років;
- Перше місце — Марія Лебединська, Оксана Чехместренко та Світлана Марусенко у складі міжнародної естафетної команди Power and Hot в жіночій категорії до 40 років;
- Перше місце — національна жіноча естафетна команда України (Марія Лебединська, Оксана Чехместренко, Світлана Марусенко) у жіночій категорії пожежних підрозділів до 40 років, встановивши рекорд світу
