Выборы на неподконтрольной Киеву территории Донбасса могут пройти одновременно с местными выборами по всей Украине, которые в свою очередь запланированы на 31 октября 2020 года.

Об этом заявил помощник президента Украины Андрей Ермак в преддверии встречи Нормандского формата в Лондоне.

Ермак надеется, что вопросы обеспечения безопасности перед выборами, а также допуска к ним представителей СМИ и кандидатов будут обсуждаться на встрече в Нормандском формате 9 октября в Париже.

По его словам, выборы в Донбассе обязательно должны проходить при участии наблюдателей ОБСЕ. "И мы уже говорим с ОБСЕ о расширении их мандата", - заявил помощник Зеленского.

Ранее Ермак заявил, что Украина готова провести конституционную реформу согласно минским соглашениям и предоставить Донбассу особый статус. При этом он подчеркнул, что киевские власти ограничат предоставление дополнительных полномочий региону вопросами децентрализации. "Но это никогда не будет означать, что это будет федерализация или какая-то автономия", - сказал Ермак.

Нормандский формат — дипломатическая группа из представителей Германии, России, Франции и Украины по урегулированию ситуации в Донбассе. Ближайшие переговоры лидеров стран должны состояться 9 декабря в Париже.
