На щорічному змаганні хакерів Pwn2Own 2017, яке проходить в канадському Ванкувері, дослідники в області інформнебезпеки зламали операційні системи Microsoft Windows і Apple MacOS на очах у сотень глядачів.
 

Про це пише EWeek.

Повідомляється, що в перший день команда Qihoo360 отримала доступ до конфіденційної інформації MacOS, знайшовши пролом в ядрі. За це фахівці отримали $10 тисяч винагороди із загального призового фонду $1 мільйон.

Нагадаємо, що Pwn2Own - щорічний турнір для хакерів, з 2007 року проходить в рамках конференції з інформаційної безпеки CanSecWest. Учасники повинні за обмежений час зламати певний пристрій або програму, після чого в обмін на грошову винагороду надати інформацію про "слабке місце" виробнику.

Аналогічна сума дісталася команді Хайтіна Security Research Lab, яка змогла зламати MacOS за допомогою іншої уразливості.

Операційну систему Windows, зламали фахівці з інших команд.Кожна з них заробила по $15 тисяч.

За винагороду $55 тисяч дослідники зламали браузер Microsoft, а інша команда знайшла вразливість в Mozilla Firefox. Одна із команд заробила $35 тисяч за злом Safari.
