Бойовик терористичного угруповання "Ісламська держава" намагався завербувати кореспондента BBC через мережу, щоб схилити його до теракту на лондонський міст.
 

Про це пише видання Guardian.

За даними видання, BBC підготувала спеціальне дослідження на тему ісламських терористів, що проводилося протягом останніх двох років. За цей час один з вербувальників "ІД" намагався схилити журналіста BBC, який приховував рід своєї діяльності, здійснити напад лондонський міст. 

Крім того, як пише видання бойовик "ІД" Джунайд Хусейн з Бірмінгема пропонував допомогу журналісту у виготовленні бомб, проте він у 2015 році був ліквідований ударом безпілотника США в сирійському місті Ракка.

Спілкування, яке велося через зашифрований сайт, продовжив інший вербувальник угруповання, який розповів про плани нападу на співробітника поліції, а також те, як можна придбати зброю і боєприпаси у Британії.

Крім того, за словами самого репортера, в 2016 році виявилося, що терористи через соціальні мережі проводять агітацію серед британських мусульман, закликаючи їх здійснювати напади на об'єкти в Лондоні.
