Президент США Дональд Трамп в четверг призвал остановить подсчет голосов на завершившихся выборах главы США.

Голосование в США состоялось 3 ноября, однако беспрецедентно высокое число американцев в этом году проголосовало по почте, поэтому подсчет голосов во многих штатах затянулся и продолжается до сих пор. При этом Трамп настаивает на том, что не следует считать бюллетени, поступившие по почте уже после закрытия избирательных участков.

На данный момент ситуация складывается не в пользу Трампа.

Он уже заявил о готовности потребовать в судебном порядке пересчета голосов в некоторых штатах, где победил его конкурент Джо Байден.

При сохранении нынешних тенденций, Байден, вероятнее всего, заручится поддержкой достаточного для избрания числа выборщиков.

Трамп обещает не признавать поражение и обратиться в суд. Еще до выборов сообщалось, что и республиканцы, и демократы, усиленно готовились именно к такому сценарию и наняли специальные команды юристов.
