Ніяк не згадуючи самі ці статті, Трамп написав в "Твіттері" великими літерами: "Фейкові новини - тотальне політичне полювання на відьом!"
Раніше телеканал CNN, посилаючись на джерела, повідомив, що секретні документи представлені президенту США Бараку Обамі і обраному президенту Дональда Трампа містять твердження, що у Росії є компрометуюча інформація про особисте життя і фінансову діяльність Трампа.
Ці твердження були представлені на двох окремих сторінках огляду, який додавався до загального звіту про російське втручання у вибори в 2016 році. Частина з них грунтується на записах, зібраних колишнім британським розвідником, якому в розвідувальному співтоваристві США висловили довірливе ставлення.
