752 американских историка, "посвятивших себя изучению прошлого нации", подписали заявление, в котором утверждают, что президент США Дональд Трамп заслуживает импичмента. Заявление опубликовано на сайте Medium.com.

"Многочисленные и вопиющие злоупотребления властью со стороны президента Трампа - это в точности то, что творцы Конституции США считали основанием для импичмента и отстранения президента", - говорится в заявлении.

Наиболее пагубным для Конституции злоупотреблением историки считают задержку военной помощи Украине, чтобы заставить ее "сфабриковать и узаконить ложную информацию, чтобы дать преимущество для переизбрания" Трампа.

"Если должностные преступления президента Трампа не соответствуют уровню импичмента, тогда практически ничто ему не соответствует", - говорится в заявлении.
