Міністр інфраструктури Володимир Омелян анонсував, що за тиждень в інтернеті розпочнеться відкрите голосування за нову назву для Міжнародного аеропорту "Бориспіль".

Про це він написав на своїй Facebook-сторінці.

"У Верховній Раді зареєстровано чотири постанови, народні депутати, політики та діячі культури активно долучилися до обговорення. Щойно відбулися слухання щодо цього питання, в яких взяли участь народні депутати, директор аеропорту Бориспіль, представники ДП "Антонов", Бориспільської міської ради, асоціації аеропортів України, КМДА тощо", - повідомив міністр. 

Він наголосив, що перейменування може відбутися виключно після широкого громадського обговорення, а відповідно до нормативних актів, зміна назви (присвоєння ім'я) відбувається за поданням трудового колективу аеропорту. 

За підсумками наради, за словами Омеляна, визначилися, що Міжнародний аеропорт Бориспіль може носити ім'я: Ігоря Сікорського, Казимира Малевича, Олега Антонова або Павла Чубинського.

"Домовились, що мають бути проведені обговорення, а також відкрите голосування в Інтернет. Голосування відкриємо за тиждень, про що одразу повідомимо. Хочу наголосити, що присвоюючи ім'я тієї чи іншої видатної особистості аеропорту Бориспіль, ми маємо думати європейським, світовим масштабом", - заявив міністр.
