Сайт сумнівного каналу "Україна-24", який немає нічого спільного з Україною, після сюжету ТСН пішов в офлайн і нібито закрився на реконструкцію.

Вперше про телеканал стало відомо 19 вересня. Про це заявила глава парламентського комітету з питань свободи слова та інформаційної політики Вікторія Сюмар. За її словами, на телеканал вона наштовхнулась у турецькому готелі. "Україна-24" була запущена Росією для мовлення закордоном.

Пізніше у Нацраді з питань телебачення й радіомовлення зазначали, що цей канал не має української реєстрації. Cайт мовника був недолугим і з грубими орфографічними помилками. В контактах містив лише адресу.

Водночас у Мінінформполітики зазначали, що з таким телеканалом нічого не можуть зробити, бо він де-факто не працює в Україні та ніяк не пов'язаний із Україною. Натомість радять українцям на закордонному відпочинку дивитися справжні вітчизняні телеканали і не боятися вимагати таких від адміністраторів готелю.

Також повідомлялося, що 

Росія запустила телеканал "Україна24" для мовлення за кордоном
