Новообраний на 4 термін російський президент Володимир Путін залишив Дмитра Медведєва на посту глави уряду.

"Президент вніс кандидатуру Дмитра Медведєва для отримання згоди Державної Думи на призначення його Головою Уряду Російської Федерації", - йдеться в повідомленні.

У понеділок, 7 травня, Путін приніс присягу і вступив на посаду президента. Він в четвертий раз став главою Росії на найближчі шість років.

Під час своєї промови, він заявив, що його країна готова до діалогу.

"Ми відкриті до діалогу... з усіма державами в інтересах миру і стабільності", - сказав Путін.

18 березня, в 4-у річницю офіційної анексії Криму Росією, в РФ пройшли вибори президента. Голосування, проведене на анексованому півострові, Україна і Захід не визнають, тому що воно незаконне.

Згідно з даними ЦВК РФ за підсумками обробки 99,84% протоколів, "самовисуванець" і діючий президент Володимир Путін набрав 76,66% голосів на виборах.
