Местные выборы в самопровозглашенной Луганской народной республике, запланированные на 21 февраля, с большой вероятностью пройдут по закону, который будет согласован в ходе переговоров представителей народных республик с Киевом, заявил в интервью РИА Новости "глава ЛНР" Игорь Плотницкий.

"Мне кажется, что выборы пройдут по закону, который будет согласован в ходе обязательных прямых переговоров между представителями народных республик и Киева", — заявил глава ЛНР.

Он уточнил, что в том, что такие переговоры идут и дают обнадеживающие результаты, несомненная заслуга российской дипломатии, а также Германии и Франции.

В октябре, после встречи "нормандской четверки" в Париже, власти ДНР и ЛНР согласились перенести местные выборы на 2016 год. За это время власти Украины будут обязаны выполнить все взятые на себя по минским соглашениям обязательства: предоставить Донбассу особый статус, не допустить преследования и наказания участников событий на территории ДНР и ЛНР, а также принять поправки в Конституцию в новой, согласованной с самопровозглашенными республиками редакции.
