"Первый национальный" не покажет матчи сборной Украины на чемпионате мира U-20 2015 года, и причиной тому служит наличие российской компании в качестве генерального спонсора турнира. 

Руководитель спортивной редакции "Первого национального" Никита Хорозов ранее подтвердил, что государственный телеканал не будет транслировать Чемпионат мира U-20, проходящий в эти дни в Новой Зеландии. Как оказалось, это произошло из-за того, что генеральным спонсором ЧМ U-20 в Новой Зеландии выступает российская компания "Газпром".  

Это в комментарии "Футболу 24" подтвердил генеральный директор НТКУ Зураб Аласания: "Как генеральный директор НТКУ, я имею право на конечное решение по закупкам трансляций. И это решение звучит таким образом: "UA: Перший" не будет транслировать событие, генеральным спонсором которого выступает "Газпром России". Как гражданин Украины добавлю, что и сборная Украины, мне кажется, должна была бы отказаться от участия в этом событии - раз уж у мировых спортивных организаций не хватает такта и соображения не принимать такое "спонсорство". Да, знаю: "наука, культура и спорт - вне политики". Однако бывают времена, когда политика приходит в науку, культуру и спорт, не спрашивая, хотят они этого, или нет. Такое время пришло".
