В знак підтримки бездомних мер Лондона Борис Джонсон і власник газети Independent Євген Лебедєвпровели ніч на вулиці. У них були лише спальні мішки і шматки картону. Мер і підприємець переночували біля собору Святого Павла в лондонському Сіті,пише Gazeta.ua
Вони пояснили, що мета їхньої акції - привернути увагу громадськості до проблем безпритульних і посприяти пошуку вирішення проблем. Лебедєв пише, що коли він дізнався про проблему бездомних ветеранів - він відразу відчув, що мусить якось допомогти цим людям.
Лебедєв розповідає, що він звернувся до мера міста з цією проблемою, тоді Джонсон і запропонував Лебедєву зустрітися з цими людьми. В результаті мер і власник ЗМІ вирішили провести ніч на вулиці з бездомними ветеранами.
Для того щоб переночувати мерові Лондона і власнику The Independent видали тільки листи картону і спальні мішки. Лебедєв подякував всевишньому за гарну погоду протягом всієї ночі, лише під ранок вони відчули на своїх обличчях краплі дощу.
