Сенатор США от Республиканской партии Джон Маккейн заявляет, что не намерен баллотироваться в президенты США на выборах в 2016 году. Об этом он сказал сегодня на брифинге в Киеве,передает Сегодня.

Сенатор отметил, что посещал южную часть Соединенных Штатов, где один философ сказал: "Невозможно научиться чему-то, когда тебя второй раз ударил осел" (there's no education in the second kick of a mule).

Таким образом, сенатор имел в виду, что если что-то случилось с вами впервые, то вы должны сделать выводы из этого, имея в виду свой проигрыш на выборах президента в 2008 году.

"Я второй раз на это не пойду, и не буду участвовать в президентской гонке. Я очень неохотно отвечаю на вопрос, что буду делать, если меня изберут президентом, потому что американцы высказались по этому поводу", – заявил Маккейн.
