Председатели юридического комитета и комитета по национальной безопасности и правительственным делам Сената Конгресса США, республиканцы Чак Грассли и Рон Джонсон призвали генеральную прокуратуру США расследовать возможную связь между избирательной кампанией Хиллари Клинтон в 2016 году и Украиной.
Об этом говорится в письме на имя генпрокурора США от председателя юридического комитета Сената Чака Грасли и главы комитета по вопросам национальной безопасности и правительственных дел Рона Джонсона, передает Цензор.НЕТ со ссылкой на Укринформ.
"Минюст еще не проинформировал Конгресс и общественность о том, начал ли он расследование связей и сотрудничества между правительством Украины и лицами, связанными с кампанией Хиллари Клинтон или Национального демократического комитета", - отмечается в документе, обнародованном 30 сентября.
Авторы письма выразили сомнение, что предыдущие расследования генпрокуратуры и минюста сполна изучили вопрос возможного иностранного вмешательства в избирательную кампанию.
Предоставить ответы на поставленные в письме вопросы сенаторы просят не позднее 14 октября.
"Мы надеемся, что ваш письменный ответ и большинство предоставленных документов будут не засекреченными", - говорится в письме.
