Музикант Каньє Вест зареєструвався кандидатом в президенти США. Про це повідомляється на офіційному сайті виборчої комісії штату Оклахома.

 
Згідно з даними виборчкому, репер встиг подати необхідні документи та сплатити реєстраційний збір в розмірі 35 тисяч доларів. Музикант зареєструвався незалежним кандидатом в Оклахомі.
 
Репер представлятиме партію BDY - Birthday Party. У перекладі з англійської - Партія дня народження або Вечірка з нагоди дня народження. Також незалежний кандидат в Оклахомі зареєструвалася піаністка Джейд Сіммонс.
 
Проте низка ЗМІ стверджують, що Вест відмовився брати участь в президентських перегонах. А ця його заява була викликана загостренням біполярного розладу, на який страждає репер.
 
Раніше про підтримку реп-виконавця в боротьбі за місце президента заявив глава компанії SpaceX, але пізніше стало відомо, що Каньє Вест залишився без підтримки Ілона Маска. Також повідомлялося, що Періс Гілтон йде в президенти.
