У США під час хокейного матчу вболівальники викинули на лід 74 599 м’яких іграшок. Світовий рекорд було побито під час щорічної акції команди Hershey Bears (“Херші Беарс”). Про це повідомляє The Independent.

Фанати почали кидати іграшки після того, як форвард “Херші Беарс” закинув першу шайбу у матчі. Гру довелося призупинити на 50 хвилин. Очищати лід та підраховувати іграшки допомагали волонтери.

Матч проходив на стадіоні Giant Center у місті Херші, штат Пенсільванія, та завершився з рахунком 3:2 на користь господарів. Клуби “Херші Беарс” та “Лихай Веллі Фантомс” зустрічалися в рамках Американської хокейної ліги, яка в США вважається другою за значимістю після Національної хокейної ліги.

Teddy bear toss (“Кидання плюшевих ведмедиків”) — традиція хокейних вболівальників США. Фанати “Херші” проводять акцію з 2001 року. Цього січня вдалось побити рекорд минулого року, коли на лід прилетіло 67 309 іграшок. Після закінчення акції іграшки передали до благодійних організацій.
