Иностранные государства могли вмешиваться в процесс голосования на референдуме о выходе Великобритании из Европейского Союза.

Об этом пишет LB.ua со ссилкой на The Guardian.

По данным издания, к такому выводу пришла парламентская комиссия, расследовав причины сбоев в работе сайта, на котором британцы регистрировались для участия в референдуме.

В отчете говорится, что причиной выхода сайта из строя стала DDoS-атака с использованием "ботнетов".

Подобная атака, по мнению комиссии, свидетельствует о попытках вмешательства в ход референдума иностранных государств. О каких именно странах идет речь, в отчете не говорится, но отмечается, что у России и Китая есть опыт проведения кибератак, "основанных на понимании психологии масс и навыков использования отдельных личностей".

Напомним, 7 июня 2016 года правительственный сайт за 100 минут до прекращения регистрации для участия в референдуме оказался недоступен. Первоначально было объявлено, что сайт не выдержал нагрузки из-за огромного числа желающих зарегистрироваться для участия в референдуме. Регистрация была продлена. На результаты референдума сбои в работе сайте не повлияли.
