Пользователи платной версии YouTube получили возможность смотреть видео без рекламы и в фоновом режиме. Им также предоставлен доступ к эксклюзивному контенту – YouTube Originals.

В новом сервисе все видеоролики можно сохранять на устройстве для отложенного офлайн-просмотра. Пользователи также смогут слушать в YouTube Red музыку: композиции будут воспроизводиться даже в фоновом режиме при закрытом приложении

Стоимость подписки составляет $9,99 в месяц. Предусмотрен бесплатный пробный период в один месяц. Подписка также предусматривает доступ к Google Play Music, YouTube Gaming и еще не выпущенному приложению YouTube Music.

О том, что в YouTube может появиться возможность платной подписки на просмотр без рекламы, стало известно в середине марта этого года. В апреле администрация сервиса разослала владельцам каналов письмо, в котором сообщалось, что новая версия YouTube без рекламы будет запущена в скором времени.

В сентябре в СМИ появились сообщения, что платная версия YouTube может быть запущена 22 октября. А на прошлой неделе Google объявил, что запуск YouTube Red состоится 28 октября.
