Створення секретного каналу зв'язку між Москвою і Вашингтоном ініціював посол РФ в Сполучених Штатах Сергій Кисляк, а не зять президента Дональда Трампа, повідомляє американський телеканал FoxNews "з посиланням на знайоме з ситуацією джерело, пише Новое время.

Разом з тим співрозмовник агентства зазначив, що метою переговорів президентського зятя Джареда Кушнера з російським послом була Сирія, а проблема налагодження окремого каналу зв'язку обговорювалася виключно в руслі сирійського питання.

Крім того, як повідомляє телеканал, перспективний канал не повинен був стати постійним.

Раніше видання The Washington Post звинуватило Кушнера в намірах створити безпечний прямий канал зв'язку з Москвою. Відповідне обговорення він нібито провів з Кисляком 1 або 2 грудня 2016 року в Нью-Йорку.

Раніше повідомлялося, що Кушнер потрапив у центр уваги розслідування ФБР про передбачувану зв'язку Трампа та Росії.
