Міський голова Дніпра Борис Філатов заявив, що ідея створення "партії мерів" нежиттєздатна і що її "закидають" технологи Офісу президента.

Повідомляється в інтерв'ю Філатова "Радіо НВ"

"Я думаю, що "партія мерів" як партія лідерів місцевого самоврядування, які об'єдналися за професійною ознакою, — це нежиттєздатний проєкт. Неможливо зробити партію пенсіонерів, мерів, булочників або токарів-фрезерувальників. Це неправильно.

Ба більше, я вважаю, що саму ідеологему (або міфологему) "партії мерів" закидають в масову свідомість в тому числі технологи Офісу президента, для того щоб її з нальотом дискредитувати".

Водночас Філатов вважає, що у суспільства існує "затребуваність" на існування подібної політичної сили.

За його словами, така партія має стати загальнонаціональною і об'єднати не тільки мерів, а й голів об'єднаних територіальних громад, лідерів громадської думки і "активних людей".

За оцінками Філатова, 30-40% виборців могли б віддати свої голоси за подібну партію.
