Як пише  MediaSapiens із посиланням на The Verge, соціальна мережа Facebook створила систему на базі штучного інтелекту, що називається «Розетта» (Rosetta). Вона використовуватиме машинне навчання, щоб транформувати текст у відео та на фото у формат, який можуть прочитати комп’ютери. Зокрема, цей інструмент допоможе фільтрувати меми.

Інструменти для розшифровки тексту не є новими, але через свої масштаби Facebook тискається з проблемою надмірної кількості зображень. «Розетта»  ж зможе за день аналізувати текст у 1 мільярді зображень та відео на платформах Facebook та Instagram.

Поки що не зрозуміло, що робитиме соціальна мережа з новими даними. З одного боку, вони повинні допомогти легше шукати контент. З іншого — Facebook може використати цю інформацію, щоб фільтрувати вашу стрічку новин, зважаючи на те, чи мем просто смішний, чи він поширює мову ворожнечі.

Платформа, власне, каже, що нова технологія використовується для «автоматичного визначення вмісту, який порушує політику спільноти щодо мови ворожнечі». «Розетта» працює із різними мовами.
