Социальная сеть Facebook приступила к тестам нового инструмента для борьбы с фейковыми аккаунтами, сообщила эксперт в области мобильных приложений Джейн Маньчун Вонг в своем Twitter.

По ее словам, Facebook планирует верифицировать пользователей с помощью видеороликов.

Госпожа Вонг также опубликовала скриншоты инструмента. Соцсеть предложит новым пользователям создать короткое селфи-видео, в которое могут встроить систему распознавания лиц. На видео пользователю нужно показать свое лицо с разных сторон. Файл с лицом пользователя будет удален в течение 30 дней.

Ранее Facebook представила новую технологию, благодаря которой можно менять ключевые черты лица, чтобы системы распознавания лиц не могли узнать человека. Эта технология может менять лица людей в режиме реального времени, в отличие от других подобных программ, изменяющих внешность уже после записи или фотографирования. Facebook не планирует использовать технологию в своих продуктах.
