Несмотря на пандемию коронавируса Covid-19 политическая борьба в США пока не думает о самоизоляции.

Экс-вице-президент США Джо Байден уверенно идет к тому, что именно он станет кандидатом от демократов на предстоящих в ноябре этого года президентских выборах. Он выиграл праймериз в штате Вашингтон и уже поблагодарил своих сторонников в Twitter.

От штата Вашингтон на национальный съезд демократов отправятся 89 делегатов, которые будут голосовать за кандидата в президенты.

По оценкам экспертов, ожидалось, что победу в Вашингтоне одержит главный оппонент Байдена - сенатор Берни Сандерс, который в 2016 году на праймериз в штате набрал две трети голосов.

Неделю назад Байден обошел Сандерса еще в четырех штатах - Миссури, Миссисипи, Мичигане и Айдахо.
