Засновник соціальної мережі Facebook Марк Цукерберг у понеділок, 29 серпня, зустрівся з Папою Римським Франциском у Ватикані і подарував йому безпілотник, передає Кореспондент

 
Мільярдер передав понтифіку дрон Aquila на сонячних батареях, який, як сподіваються у Facebook, згодом допоможе забезпечити доступ до інтернету у країнах, що розвиваються.
 
"Це була зустріч, яку я ніколи не забуду. Відразу відчувається теплота і доброта Папи Римського і його глибинне прагнення допомагати людям", - повідомив Цукерберг.
 
Під час візиту до Ватикану Цукерберга супроводжувала його дружина Присцилла Чан. За словами офіційного представника Ватикану, під час зустрічі обговорювалося, "як використовувати комунікаційні технології для викорінення бідності та розвитку культури дружніх контактів і як дати надію людям, особливо нужденним".
 
Як очікується, пізніше Цукерберг пообіцяв у режимі онлайн відповісти на питання про свою зустріч з понтифіком.
