Парламентарії відхилили пропозицію прем'єр-міністра Бориса Джонсона про позачергові парламентські вибори 12 грудня.

Депутати підтримали пропозицію Джонсона 299 голосами проти 70. Проте для прийняття рішення йому не вистачило 135 голосів (необхідно дві третини голосів всіх депутатів - 434).

Нагадаємо, прем'єр-міністр Великої Британії Борис Джонсон в четвер закликав Палату громад проголосувати за проведення дострокових виборів 12 грудня.

Це рішення він прийняв у світлі того, що депутати відмовилися підтримати прискорений графік розгляду законопроекту про Brexit, згідно з яким законопроект могли розглянути і прийняти за три дні.
