Американский медиахолдинг 21st Century Fox бизнесмена Руперта Мердока намерен купить британскую вещательную компанию Sky, сообщает Телекритика со ссилкой на информагентство RNS.

Общая стоимость сделки может составить 18,5 млрд фунтов (около $23,2 млрд). "Совет независимых директоров Sky Plc объявляет, что Sky получила предложение от 21st Century Fox… В то же время некоторые материальные вопросы еще обсуждаются, поэтому нельзя с уверенностью утверждать, что 21st Century Fox сделает предложение о покупке", - отметили в Sky.

При этом один из основных акционеров британской вещательной компании уже заявил, что собирается голосовать против предложения о поглощении Sky медиахолдингом 21st Century Fox из-за его низкой цены. "Мы голосуем против сделки, если она будет осуществлена на этих условиях", - сказал он.

Как известно, сейчас 21st Century Fox владеет 39%-ной долей в Sky. В 2010 году Мердок уже пытался выкупить все акции компании, однако тогда сделка сорвалась из-за скандала со взломом мобильных телефонов звезд и политиков.
