Лідер партії "УДАР" Віталій Кличко заявляє про намір балотуватися на посаду міського голови Києва.

"Я прийняв зважене рішення балотуватися на посаду мера Києва", - сказав Кличко на з'їзді партії "УДАР" в суботу в Києві, передає прес-служба партії.

"Я хочу зробити Київ істинно європейською столицею, і ми маємо робити нашу країну істинно європейською країною. Всі реформи і всі починання починаються зі столиці", - додав лідер "УДАРу".

Крім того, він підкреслив, що вибори президента України 25 травня мають об'єднати суспільство, а не стати черговою війною всіх проти всіх. 

Кличко вважає, що єдина можливість забезпечити єдність і високий рівень легітимності - це висунення єдиного кандидата від демократичних сил.

"Я завжди говорив: це повинен бути кандидат, який отримає найбільшу підтримку громадян, найвищі шанси на перемогу. Сьогодні таким кандидатом є Петро Порошенко. Ми стояли і боролися поруч на Майдані - і ми будемо пліч-о-пліч працювати і над перетворенням України", - відзначив лідер "УДАРу".

Він також висловив переконаність, що якби інші демократичні сили підтримали єдиного кандидата, то отримали загальну перемогу вже в першому турі.

"Це не тільки було б демонстрацією нашої єдності, але й дозволило б зберегти значні кошти для бюджету України", - наголосив Кличко
