Министр иностранных дел Украины Павел Климкин на пресс-конференции в штаб-квартире ООН заявил о том, что Киев предлагает Луганской и Донецкой областям провести местные выборы 9 ноября. Об этом пишет "Зеркало недели".

"Ключевой момент для будущей децентрализации – это, конечно, местные выборы, которые мы предлагаем провести 9 ноября", – сказал он.

По его словам, Киев против участия в выборах органов местной власти Донецкой и Луганской областей кандидатов, имеющих российское гражданство.

Он отметил, украинские власти "готовы предоставить жителям Донецка и Луганска больше свободы, но также и больше ответственности в экономическом плане". Он считает, что для того, чтобы избежать "замороженного конфликта" на востоке Украины, необходимо полноценное включение регионов во всеукраинский политический процесс, которому и будут способствовать местные выборы.

Напомним, что по заключению ЦИКа, во временно оккупированном Крыму и на территории Донбасса сейчас провести выборы в Верховную Раду невозможно.
