Штучний інтелект у соцмережі Facebook прийняв відео за участю темношкірої людини, білої та поліцейського за відео з приматами.

Користувачі дивилися ролик, опублікований британським таблоїдом Daily Mail, де були зображені словесні розбірки темношкірого цивільного чоловіка, білого цивільного і поліцейського. Однак під відео соцмережа розмістила вікно з питанням "Продовжити дивитися відео про приматів?".

Як пише The New York Times, Facebook уже вибачився і назвав інцидент "неприйнятною помилкою". У компанії заявили, що досліджують проблему з рекомендаціями, щоб запобігти такому в майбутньому.

"Як ми вже сказали, хоча ми поліпшили наш штучний інтелект, ми знаємо, що він не ідеальний, нам ще належить попрацювати над цим. Ми приносимо свої вибачення всім, хто, можливо, бачив ці образливі рекомендації", - сказала прес-секретар Facebook Дані Левер.

Як зазначає видання, технології розпізнавання осіб часто не налаштовані на розпізнавання людей з темним кольором шкіри, що ускладнює їх ідентифікацію. Це призводить до інцидентів, коли темношкірі піддаються дискримінації або арештам через комп'ютерні помилки.
