Президент США Дональд Трамп, який раніше помилував колишнього главу свого передвиборчого штабу Пола Манафорта, 2 січня провів телефонну розмову з держсекретарем штату Джорджія Бредом Раффенспергером, під час якої вимагав провести перерахунок голосів на виборах президента і знайти потрібну для його перемоги кількість голосів.

Про це повідомляє видання The Washington Post, яке опублікувало аудіозапис розмови Трампа і Раффенспергера.

Так, Трамп спочатку хвалив керівника штату, а потім почав йому погрожувати кримінальною відповідальністю.

За словами діючого президента США, він впевнений, що переміг у Джорджії, але йому необхідно знайти 11 780 голосів, яких йому не вистачає для перемоги.

"Все, що я хочу зробити: я просто хочу знайти 11 780 голосів", – заявив Трамп.

Трамп переконаний, що ці бюлетені з голосами підтримки нібито були, але потім їх знищили. Це, за словами Трампа, може стати приводом для кримінальної відповідальності.

"Ви знаєте, що вони зробили, і не повідомляєте про це. Це кримінальний злочин, це кримінальний злочин. І ви не можете допустити цього. Це великий ризик для вас і для вашого юриста Райана", – заявив Трамп.

Трамп нагадав Раффенспергеру, що той є республіканцем і тому повинен робити деякі дії для перемоги своїх однопартійців.
