Пользователи Twitter раскритиковали рекламу Pepsi, которую компания поместила на баннер центра тестирования на коронавирус в городе Орландо, штат Флорида.

Сообщение о проверке на COVID-19 соседствовало со слоганом Pepsi «Вот, что мне нравится». В качестве ориентира месторасположения медцентра был указан универмаг Walmart номер 908 — без адреса.

Снимок баннера в своем аккаунте первым опубликовал пользователь Firr с подписью «В какой же адской антиутопии мы живем». Компания оперативно отреагировала на критику и убрала сомнительный плакат, но все же получила порцию осуждения.

Некоторые пользователи высказались довольно жестко: «Когда ты думаешь об умирающих от COVID людях, вспоминай Pepsi!»

Пресс-секретарь Walmart сообщила изданию HuffPost сообщение о том, что баннер был сделан безо всякого злого умысла, но его уже сняли.

Мы знаем, насколько важен доступ к тестированию в наших местных сообществах, и не было ничего негативного в самом баннером. Местные команды пытались повысить осведомленность о месте тестирования, чтобы помочь большему количеству людей. Как только мы узнали о ситуации, его сняли.
