Митрополит Рязанський Марк вважає, що новорічна комедія «Іронія долі, або з легким паром» Ельдара Рязанова заснована на помилкових цінностях. Про це повідомляє радіостанція «Ехо Москви».

У зверненні до віруючих церковний ієрарх стверджує, що показане режисером новорічне диво - «набуття нової любові» головним героєм «побудоване на зраді своїй нареченій». За його словами, «християнство закликає до постійної роботи над собою, а тут зовсім інша картина: для того, щоб сталося диво, не потрібна праця, можна просто зустрітися, посидіти, напитися - і диво станеться саме собою», - сказав глава єпархії. 

Критика Рязанського митрополита Марка фільму «Іронія долі» - його приватна позиція. Про це заявив офіційний представник РПЦ Володимир Легойда. У себе в телеграм-каналі він пише, що «Іронія долі» - прекрасна і добра новорічна казка, яку люблять мільйони телеглядачів, але як будь-яке твір мистецтва, фільм може подобатися або не подобатися будь-якій людині, в тому числі і митрополиту.
