У другий тур виборів президента Чилі вийшли колишній президент, консерватор і мільярдер Себастьян Піньєра та ліво-центрист Алехандро Гільєр. Піньєра, який уже був президентом Чилі з 2010 по 2014 роки, здобув у першому турі, що пройшов у неділю, 19 листопада, 36,6 відсотка голосів. Його конкурент Гільєр набрав 22,6 відсотка, пише DW.COM

Водночас, Гільєра можуть підтримати прихильники ще однієї кандидатки - Беатріс Санчес, пише інформагенція dpa. Санчес представляє об'єднання екологів та лівих лібералів, на виборах вона здобула третій результат, набравши 20,2 відсотка голосів. На четвертому місці опинився політик правого ухилу Хосе Антоніо Каст.

У неділю, 19 листопада, в Чилі відбулися, крім першого туру виборів президента, вибори 155 членів палати депутатів та частину сенату. Другий тур президентських виборів заплановано на 17 грудня.
